First home defeat for our Parisians

On their return to the Halle Carpentier this Saturday, our Parisians were beaten 86-90 by Le Portel in the opening game of Day 7 of Betclic ELITE.

A trap named Le Portel

In the opening game of Day 7 of the Betclic ELITE season, the Parisians got off to a good start against Le Portel, who came to Carpentier to play spoilsport. In the first quarter, Bandja Sy’s team-mates put on the necessary intensity to take the lead. At the break, the score was in the home side’s favor: 45-43.

The second half resumed on the same basis, but the lack of success made itself felt.

For the first time, the Nordic outfit went ahead in the 4th quarter, with Finnish Edon Maxhuni in fine form (75% 3-point success rate). Le Portel eventually won 86-90.

Despite this first slip-up at home, our Parisians remain in 2nd place in the standings, pending the results of the other teams.

The marathon continues

Paris Basketball will now play a French Cup match in Lille on Monday, before preparing to travel to Hamburg on Wednesday.

The aim is to follow up a third consecutive EuroCup success. This would enable the Club to look ahead a little further in this competition.
