Hifi : “ I deserve the MVP ”

Another masterclass from Nadir Hifi last Saturday against ASVEL (87-76). Dominant in the clutch, the Prince of Paris reflected on his MVP-caliber performance during the postgame press conference.

Following a thrilling match against ASVEL, Paris Basketball edged out Monaco in the dying moments to reclaim top spot in the Betclic ÉLITE. It was a remarkable team performance, which our point guard highlighted to the press : “ I’m really pleased we rose to the occasion because it wasn’t easy. We were trailing for quite a while, but we found the means to get back into the game, take the lead again and make the defensive stops at the right moment. It’s also a reflection of the work put in during the week and the solidarity within the squad.

According to Nadir, this match also illustrates his steady progress since the start of the season : “ I felt good. This match also shows how my game has developed. I think that’s a positive thing. When I play intelligently, like I did today, it’s good for me and it’s good for the team.

Individual performances for the good of the team make him an MVP contender, according to the Prince of Paris : “ I know I’m one of the final three candidates in the running for the LNB MVP. We finished first and I think I deserve it given my season. I’ve had a tremendous season, both in terms of scoring and in the way I’ve led the team to victory. Even though we’ve been through a lot of tough times, I’ve fought hard and played every game. I think I’ve reached a new level, and being the best player on the best team deserves the MVP award.

Nadir’s teammates will return to the adidas arena on Tuesday 26 May for Game 1 of the LNB Quarter-Finals. Throughout these playoffs, Paris Basketball will need your support. So book your ticket today by clicking on this link !
