The end of the chapter for Sissoko and Wajih

Awa Sissoko and Zahra Wajih, who helped secure the French NF2 championship title, will not be playing for the Paris Basketball Women’s Team during the 2026–2027 season.

This year, our Parisian players have inspired us. Sitting just off the podium at the start of the second half of the season, Paris staged a remarkable run to secure their place in NF1 before lifting the NF2 French championship title. As of July, our team remains unbeaten in 2026 !

A campaign crowned with success, much of which can be attributed to the backcourt. Whether at point guard or shooting guard, our players rose to the occasion every weekend.

Among the members of this backcourt were the young point guard Zahra Wajih and shooting guard Awa Sissoko. During their time in the capital, they never failed to deliver in their appearances.
