Our youth team beat Boulazac

Without faltering, Paris Basketball’s Espoirs have cemented their place in the league’s top seven following their victory last Saturday against Boulazac (86–75) on Matchday 4.

No easy ride for Paris! Fresh from a hard-fought victory snatched in the closing stages against SIG (80–78), our Espoirs were aiming for back-to-back wins at home. All the more so as they were up against bottom-of-the-table Boulazac. A status as favourites that Julien Mahé’s side fully embraced !

Barely five minutes in, Paris Basketball had already pulled away on the scoreboard. Still trailing at the end of the first quarter (19–12), the visitors were hit hard by this sudden surge from Paris. Samuel Bringer, who put in his best performance yet in the Elite U20s, recorded a double-double (19 points and 12 rebounds) to shore up our presence under the basket. Boulazac would never recover from this accumulated deficit at half-time (45–30). An attempted comeback by the opposition was evident early in the fourth quarter, but it was nothing to worry our side about (86–75).

Now firmly established in the Top 5 of the Espoirs ÉLITE, our Parisian rising stars will travel to Roanne this Saturday at 4 pm. Roanne are a side with a similar record, led by France’s top scorer: Anthony Bria.
