Biography of Nadir Hifi
It’s only a short step from the suburbs of Strasbourg to the bright lights of the adidas arena. In just a few years, Nadir Hifi has risen to the top of French basketball. The prince of Paris was born in Strasbourg on 16 July 2002. A fan of playing with friends on the playgrounds of Illkirch-Graffenstaden, it was only later that the young Nadir joined a club. And not just any club. Given his talent, SIG Strasbourg did not hesitate for a moment before opening its doors to him. It was a wise choice, because at not even 16 years old, the Franco-Algerian was already setting the scoreboards alight.
After a season in Lille, Nadir Hifi returned to Alsace stronger than ever. His average of 14.5 points in Minimes France even allowed him to play a few games in Nationale 3 with the reserve team. Arriving in the summer of 2020, the guard found himself at a turning point in his young career. Several clubs are interested in signing him. Le Portel ends up winning the jackpot.
At not even 17 years old, Nadir Hifi is averaging 21 points in the French youth championship. But things are still moving very quickly for the Franco-Algerian shooter. Alongside his 24 games with the A team, he continues to set the youth championship alight, as evidenced by his average rating of 15.5. With a professional contract in hand, the guard is ready to make a sensational debut in Betclic ÉLITE!
Barely out of his teens, our Frenchie reached a milestone during the 2022-2023 season. We’re talking about an average of 16.8 points during the regular season. But also huge performances such as his 32 points against his former club Strasbourg and his 26 points against Monaco. These performances earned him the title of Player of the Month for December. But it was on 32 March 2023, during a match against Paris Basketball, that the shooting guard really made his mark: 39 points and a rating of 44, the best of the entire season.
As if it were symbolic, the serial scorer joined Paris Basketball for two years. And from there, everything fell into place. In his first season, he equalled the all-time scoring record for the LNB All-Star Game with… 44 points! He won two trophies of the month, was named to the league’s best five and the Eurocup’s second team. He also took the opportunity to win the European trophy with an average of 16.6 points per game, reaching the Betclic Élite finals and winning the LeaderCup along the way.
The following season, Nadir did it again in his EuroLeague debut, being voted Rising Star of the competition. An honorary title that rewarded a historic season for the man everyone calls ‘The Prince of Paris’ at the adidas arena.
With his contract extended during the off-season, Nadir Hifi is now one of the faces of the team. Much to the delight of the entire Greater Paris community.
What role will Nadir Hifi play for Paris Basketball in the 2025-2026 season
Unshakeable confidence, extraordinary clutch ability, silky smooth ball handling, boundless creativity… In short, a born scorer. A leader who will undoubtedly step up after TJ Shorts’ departure.
But let’s not fall into the trap of caricature. No, Nadir Hifi is not just a simple attacker who shoots every time the ball is in his hands. The Strasbourg native constantly adapts to the positioning of his opponents and teammates.
With his understanding of the game, the number 2 has become a much more complete player.
