Biography of Mãozinha Pereira
The first Brazilian in the club’s history, Mãozinha Pereira was born on 28 August 2000 in Rio de Janeiro. It was in his homeland that the centre began his professional career in 2019. And after just a handful of matches at Pinheiros, he made a successful move to Macedonia. However, the power forward really came into his own whilst playing for Fortaleza B.C. in 2023. Averaging 13.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game that season, he was named Brazil’s best young player before going on to produce a second, extremely solid campaign with Corinthians. During that season, he also broke the NBB record for rebounds in a single match (24).
Having become a leading figure in his position in Brazil, Mãozinha set his sights on joining the North American league. To this end, he first joined the Capitanes de Mexico in the G-League. His excellent performances in the NBA’s feeder league earned him a contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, resulting in seven appearances on North American courts. More recently, this powerhouse from Brazil has made a name for himself in the Turkish top flight with Manisa Basket.
A more than successful start to his European career, which Mãozinha intends to continue at the highest level by joining Paris Basketball.

The hoops had better watch out! A fan of powerful slam dunks, Mãozinha can bring the house down at any moment with one spectacular dunk after another. Naturally gifted with spring in his step, the power forward also possesses the stamina to make numerous runs in transition.
This explosiveness and natural agility allow him to defend equally well against both inside and outside players. Highly active off the ball – particularly when it comes to grabbing rebounds – Mãozinha fits perfectly with Paris Basketball’s philosophy.
