David Kahn talks about the future

This Thursday, the president of Paris Basketball – David Kahn – spoke openly with our most loyal supporters during an exclusive discussion.

Our president was keen to speak directly to the men and women who bring Paris Basketball to life, both at the adidas arena and in front of their televisions. It was a special occasion during which David Kahn made a series of announcements regarding the club’s future.

As for our first team, our president is prioritising continuity and building a core squad. Nine players are now under contract for next season, and discussions are ongoing with the coaching staff. However, nothing is set in stone, just as with our women’s team. Following our promotion to NF1, Paris Basketball is still considering two venues that could become the permanent home grounds for our women’s team. The club also aims to continue offering mixed men’s and women’s fixtures whilst involving more women in the development of this project.

Looking ahead to next season, David Kahn has confirmed that Paris Basketball will continue its EuroLeague campaign in a format similar to this year’s. Our president has not received any decisions or specific information regarding NBA Europe. He is particularly fond of the atmosphere in Belgrade and Athens, neither of whose clubs are involved in this project. Paris Basketball is rooted in Parisian culture and the European fan culture, and draws inspiration from the spectacle offered by the NBA. As such, the club fully intends to retain its authenticity!

There has also been some talk regarding ticket sales. The stated aim is clear: to sell out every match ! David Kahn has, in fact, already achieved this feat with the Indiana Pacers.

So yes, there is still some way to go, but that day will come for the club. This season, several obstacles have held us back once again, such as a reputation still in the making, a schedule as packed as it is repetitive, and a dip in our team’s performance on the continental stage (although it is always worth remembering that we had the second-lowest wage bill in the EuroLeague). However, the foundation is already solid, with nearly 240,000 spectators attending our 2025–2026 campaign, two matches attracting over 10,000 spectators, not to mention the numerous sell-outs.

It’s worth noting that next season, we’ll be playing nearly four matches at the Accor Arena !

Continuing on this same theme, our president was keen to emphasise that season ticket prices will not see any significant increase, whatever the circumstances. Although David Kahn is keen for your seats to belong to you – as was the case in Portland during his childhood – we are aware that some of you would occasionally like to sell them on. That is why, from next season onwards, an official resale platform will be available, allowing you to easily sell your tickets when you are unable to attend.

Finally, Paris Basketball has, of course, taken on board your desire for greater access to information regarding the state of our team. We remain, however, dependent on the team’s wish to maintain its privacy.

David Kahn particularly enjoyed this exchange with subscribers and announced live that this type of conversation would take place every quarter. And yes: our chairman confirmed that he takes the tube to get around!

The play-offs are always an opportunity to continue offering great entertainment on the court or in our concourses. You too can come and support our team in this final sprint by clicking right here.
