Tyson Etienne, a talent made in the NBA
The capital now knows the name of its new point guard ! Straight from the NBA, Tyson Etienne (26 years old, 1.84m) will make his EuroLeague debut playing for Paris Basketball.
A first taste of Europe for the former Brooklyn Nets player ! A star at his high school alongside current Milwaukee Bucks player Cole Anthony, Tyson Etienne excels wherever he goes. Recruited by several universities across the United States, the Englewood native ultimately signed with the Wichita State Shockers. In the heart of Kansas, he racked up game after game with more than 20 points over three seasons. A formidable offensive threat, the point guard also stood out for his ability to steal the ball. This remarkable run was rewarded with a selection to the All-AAC Third Team.
Unselected in the 2022 NBA Draft, Tyson Etienne began his professional career in the G-League with the College Park Skyhawks. His strong team and individual performances over two years earned him an NBA contract in early March 2025. Off to the Brooklyn Nets! In the Big Apple, he seized his opportunity. And despite a stint with the Long Island Nets, the combo guard finished the NBA season with 24 games, capped by two standout performances against the Bucks (23 points) and the Raptors (20 points).
Deadly from beyond the arc, Tyson Etienne is a natural scorer! But beyond his ability to create his own shot at any moment, the American also possesses the playmaking skills typical of a point guard. Not to mention his physicality, which allows him to be constantly active off the ball.
Along with Nadir, he’ll be the backbone of the Parisian backcourt this season. A major signing – a significant addition to the team !
Welcome to Paris Basketball, Tyson !
