From the opening whistle, Paris set the pace, surprising even with major contributions from players usually coming off the bench. Bandja Sy and Justin Simon quickly took the reins, combining for 14 points and 4 rebounds to give Paris a comfortable 10-point lead early on.
The second quarter saw other players take over, notably Collin Malcolm, who shone with a remarkable performance, allowing Paris to extend their lead to 16 points before a slight Chalon counter-attack. It was at this point that TJ Shorts II, alongside Betclic Elite co-leading scorer Nadir Hifi, took matters into his own hands to keep the pressure on the opposition.
Despite Chalon’s efforts to stay in the game, notably thanks to a solid scoring performance from Eito, Paris kept control and managed the gap until the end. TJ Shorts was the main architect of this victory, finishing with 24 points and 8 assists, earning him the title of MVP of the game.
With this 23rd win in a row, Paris Basketball can now look forward to the challenges ahead, including its final home game before the playoffs against La Chorale de Roanne.
Come one, come all for the last regular-season match at the Aidas Arena this Saturday at 4pm.
There will be plenty of surprises!
