This Thursday, July 9, Lamar Stevens is celebrating his 29th birthday. It has been a year in which the former Grizzlies player has discovered European basketball.
With 226 games in the Major Leagues under his belt, Lamar has settled into life in the capital. Built for the ultra-athletic style of play in the NCAA and the NBA, our exceptionally athletic forward is gradually finding his footing in Europe. His rise to prominence was slowed by an injury early in the season.
Despite this short adjustment period, Mr. Tomar has shone with incredible flashes of brilliance in the Betclic ÉLITE as well as in the EuroLeague. The crowning achievement was his massive 24-point performance on Monaco’s home court during Game 3 of the Finals.
