Our youth team are building on their momentum

Paris Basketball’s youth team are continuing their superb run of form with a second win this week, secured on Saturday at home against Chalon on Matchday 7 of the league (88–76).

Fresh from a sensational victory on Tuesday away at Cholet, our Parisian young guns hosted a struggling Chalon side at Athletica. Nevertheless, Élan remain a direct rival in the race for the Trophée du Futur and must be beaten at all costs.

Aware of what was at stake in this match, Paris Basketball hit the ground running. Chalon held out for a while before conceding a significant lead as early as the first quarter (30–20). It was a stunning start from which the visitors never recovered. Especially as, individually, our prospects shone: 21 points and 6 assists for Dario Cokara, 12 points and 10 defensive rebounds from Melvin Mbamen, and 9 assists from Noame Delag… Apart from a slight resurgence towards the end of the third quarter, Julien Mahé’s side kept a firm grip on the game right until the final whistle (88–76).

Currently sixth in the Espoirs ÉLITE league, Paris will host Bourg-en-Bresse this Saturday at 2 pm. Just behind them in the table, JL are on the back of two consecutive wins.

Come to the next meeting and support us!
