In Madrid to Make History

This Tuesday, Paris has a date with history. Facing Real Madrid, our Parisians are playing for a spot in the EuroLeague play-offs. It’s a chance to get revenge on a Madrid side we haven’t managed to overcome during the regular season.

Time to shine. After defeating Alba Berlin on the final day of the regular season and benefiting from favorable results elsewhere, Paris clinched a play-in spot by officially finishing eighth in the EuroLeague standings. This position gives us two chances to qualify for the play-offs. And this Tuesday marks the first attempt—against Real Madrid at the Movistar Arena.

Remember, just two weeks ago, Tiago Splitter’s players narrowly lost by a single point on Madrid’s court after leading for nearly 35 minutes. So, our Parisians head to the Spanish capital seeking revenge and ready to make their mark ! With 8 wins in their last 10 games across all competitions, TJ Shorts and his teammates are determined to continue their incredible European journey and qualify for a showdown with Fenerbahçe.

But be careful—standing in their way is a highly experienced team, 11-time European champions, currently in exceptional form. Madrid is on a 12-game winning streak in all competitions and hasn’t lost at home since January 16th ! That makes the task even more challenging, but “impossible” isn’t in Paris’s vocabulary.

If defeated, Tiago Splitter’s men will have another chance to secure a play-off ticket when they host Bayern Munich or Red Star Belgrade on Friday, April 18 at the adidas arena!
