Paris Thrills in EuroLeague
After a very physical game, our Parisians secured their fifth consecutive victory against Zalgiris Kaunas (83-77) in front of their fans, before wrapping up this week with two more games.
In front of 7,000 people at the Adidas Arena on Wednesday night, Paris clinched their fifth straight EuroLeague win! In this reunion match, our players did what was needed at the end to continue this incredible winning streak.
From the start, T.J. Shorts and Collin Malcolm played aggressively and put pressure on the opposing defense. Nadir Hifi, just stepping onto the court, landed his first three-pointer, and Tiago Splitter’s men took the lead (17-16). Before heading to the locker room, Bandja Sy also scored from distance before T.J. showcased his entire offensive range. With an “and-one,” he kept us ahead at halftime (40-36).
Thanks to solid defense, they maintained their lead while T.J. and Nadir hit consecutive three-pointers, igniting the Adidas Arena before the last 10 minutes (62-56). With former rugby player Yannick Nyanga and journalist HugoDécrypte watching, Kevarrius Hayes delivered against his former team, dominating the paint and fighting for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Mikael Jantunen then sealed the game with another three-pointer, marking a fifth consecutive win (83-77)!
T.J. Shorts once again delivered a stellar performance with 21 points and 6 assists, while Collin Malcolm was flawless with 17 points (6/6 shooting).
After an away game in Barcelona in two days, our players will then host SIG Strasbourg at home on Sunday, November 17 (7 p.m.).
