An derby to kick off the season

It’s time for the LNB Super Cup! Paris Basketball face a tough opener as they kick off their campaign this Saturday at 7pm against Nanterre.

First match of the season… and already a derby ! Just under three months after its last competitive match, Paris Basketball is back on French courts. The team has its sights set on the chance to lift the first trophy of the Maxime Lefèvre era within the space of two days. But to do so, our Parisians will first have to overcome Nanterre 92 in the semi-final of this LNB Super Cup.

Having been the surprise package of the previous Betclic ÉLITE season, Les Verts are entering the second year of Julien Mahé’s tenure. However, since finishing third in the regular season, the Paris-based club has undergone some changes. Notably, the Zeigler–Dossou-Yovo duo has been replaced by Xavier Castañeda and Devin McGlockton. However, with key players Benjamin Sene and Paul Lacombe still in the squad, alongside rising star Hugo Yimga-Moukouri, Nanterre is also banking on continuity.

A huge challenge therefore awaits our Parisians on the court at Roland-Garros. Having beaten Žalgiris Kaunas, amongst others, in pre-season, Nadir’s teammates are determined to win the first LNB Super Cup in the history of Paris Basketball.
