Horizons in the spotlight
The final stage of this season rich in experience, on Wednesday June 3rd our young people from the Horizons program participated in a visit to the Atelier des Lumières.
Who said 16th-century art couldn’t break the mold? Driven by movement, light, and emotion, participants were able to experience art from a new perspective during an immersive experience dedicated to the Renaissance. This choice was perfectly aligned with the identity of Paris Basketball and its Foundation. For us, light is indeed a powerful symbol, imbued with transmission, inspiration, and a vision for the future.

This outing concludes eight sessions organized throughout the season as part of the Horizons program. An operation led by the Paris Basketball Foundation in partnership with the Espoir 18 association. Together, we supported nearly 80 young people from priority neighborhoods in the 18th arrondissement, offering them adventures at the crossroads of sport and culture.
Over the months, participants explored diverse artistic and creative worlds and met inspiring professionals. All this while playing basketball in new and innovative ways to spark their curiosity. Highlights of the year included workshops on film, music, design, and urban art. A special meeting with our ambassador, Justin Robinson, also took place. And let’s not forget the creation and subsequent exhibition of customized basketballs at the adidas Arena.

Beyond the activities offered, Horizons wants to use sport as a starting point to open up new… horizons ! To promote expression, strengthen self-confidence, encourage discovery, and allow everyone to project themselves into new spaces.
Thanks to the commitment of everyone involved in this project, Horizons continues to grow, aiming to offer young people experiences they wouldn’t always have the opportunity to have elsewhere.
See you next season to write a new chapter in this adventure !
