Paris gave it their all against Partizan
After an intense and nail-biting thriller, our players fell short on the court of the Stark Arena (86-92). Now, it’s time for a few days of rest before resuming action in the Betclic ELITE on Sunday evening (7 PM) with a home game against Cholet for the Africa Game.
In the Partizan Belgrade fortress, T.J. Shorts II and his teammates gave everything in this 23rd EuroLeague game day but ultimately succumbed in the final seconds (82-92). The match started strong, with a massive two-handed dunk from Kevarrius Hayes silencing the arena.
The first quarter unfolded perfectly, with incredible accuracy from long range (6/9 from 3-point range) and a fast-paced style of play. Tyson Ward unleashed a storm while T.J. sped up every play, leaving us ahead after the first 10 minutes (34-26).
Kevarrius dominated both ends of the paint, contributing offensively and disrupting the opposition’s attacks. However, spurred on by their crowd, the Serbian players rallied before halftime, with Isaac Bonga (16 points) leading the charge. Maodo Lô sparked a comeback in the third quarter, weaving through the defense to finish at the rim. As crunch time approached, we remained neck and neck in this electrifying game (69-74).
In the final 10 minutes, November’s MVP took control. With sharp shooting from beyond the arc (2/3 from 3-point range), he kept us in the fight, ensuring a thrilling end to the match. Nadir Hifi also pierced the opposing defense late on, but in the end, it was the Partizan players who narrowly claimed victory.
Eyes are now set on hosting Cholet this Sunday, January 26, at 7 PM for the Africa Game. Grab your tickets right here.
