Biography of Léopold Cavalière
Born on 27 April 1996 in Albi, Léopold Cavalière had to fight hard to achieve his professional ambition.
In Pau, the winger used his technical and tactical skills to gradually make a name for himself. He even earned his first selections for the French Espoir team, crowned by the 2013 Euro U16. His impressive performances marked the start of his professional career at Pau-Lacq-Orthez, quickly establishing him as a key player in the rotation within the French basketball elite.
At the same time, he discovered the EuroCup and the Basketball Champions League. But in the south-west, Léopold Cavalière became above all a leader, capable of finishing the 2016-2017 season with an average of 11 points and a rating of 20.9. And it was after eight seasons at home that the Tarnais decided to move to Strasbourg.
In Alsace, Leo reached a new milestone. Not even 25 years old, the player who was also part of the French 3X3 adventure established himself as a benchmark in his position and was given the captain’s armband. The only downside was his absence from the Paris Olympics in the summer of 2024.
But this Olympic disappointment quickly faded. In the meantime, Paris Basketball came knocking. With the capital’s club, Leo became indispensable. With a French Cup and Championship double in his first season, the former SIG player conquered the adidas arena with his energy, leadership and talent.
