Our unyielding Parisiennes at the Halle Carpentier

Impressive performances and victories are piling up at the Halle Carpentier! Two weeks on from their spectacular triumph against Escaudin Porte du Hainaut, our players faced an opponent they know well. Having been rivals last year in the NF2, Paris and Estaires are no strangers to each other. What looked on paper to be a closely fought contest turned into a masterclass !

The visitors managed, with some difficulty, to contain Paris Basketball early on. Our team took the lead without, however, establishing a decisive advantage in the first quarter (18 – 12). The suspense was short-lived, however, as our Parisian players stepped up the pace. Spurred on by the 55 points from the trio of Inès Salahy, Marie Legrand and Hermine Ngueko, Christophe Denis’s team surged ahead on the scoreboard during a one-sided fourth quarter (40 – 2).

It was then impossible for Estaires to make up the accumulated deficit. Although our opponents fought back with a closely contested third quarter (61 – 43), Paris continued to delight their home crowd with their intense, up-tempo style. Kiara Leno’s teammates extended their lead towards the end of the match and cruised to a third consecutive victory (81 – 60).
