Ibtissem Salahy is a Parisian
A year after her younger sister Ines signed, Ibtissem Salahy (23, 1.68m) joins the Paris Basketball women’s team as a point guard.
A “Salahy-made” backcourt awaits Paris Basketball this coming season! Also a native of Colmar (near Strasbourg), Ibtissem’s talent was first spotted during halftime at a game played by her older sister, Dounia. Her shooting ability – extraordinary for a six-year-old – caught the eye of a local club coach, who encouraged her to take up the sport.
Her ball-handling skills were confirmed at the elite youth level when she joined INSEP in 2018. She soon made her senior debut in the NF1 league with SIG Strasbourg. After a brief stint with Olympique Sannois Saint-Gratien, she joined Le Havre in the summer of 2023, playing nearly 18 games in the second division during the 2024–2025 season. It was a record-breaking campaign for her, highlighted by a 19-point performance and a game with 10 assists.
A versatile point guard capable of both scoring and dishing out brilliant assists, the former French youth international is a key addition just weeks before the season tips off.
Welcome to Paris, Ibtissem !
