Time for the Finals

Let’s get ready to rumble ! The Betclic ÉLITE Finals between Paris Basketball and Monaco kick off this Sunday at 5:00 PM at the adidas arena.

Monaco won the first round in 2024 before Paris took its revenge in 2025. Now, in 2026, the cards have been completely reshuffled! In three seasons, these two teams have never seemed so evenly matched, as reflected in the final regular season standings. Although our Parisians finished at the top of the French league, the Roca Team was just below them with a similar record.

This final pits the two best French teams of recent years against each other, both continentally and nationally.

Recently a quarterfinalist in the EuroLeague, the Roca Team is coming off a particularly turbulent season. Today, fewer than 10 professional players are in the Principality. But despite extremely tight rotations, the sheer number of talented players per square meter allowed our opponents to achieve a near-perfect playoff run. Only Nanterre managed to steal a game from them when JL Bourg was completely outplayed. The teammates of the red-hot Okobo-Strazel duo are also undefeated on the road this postseason.

In the heart of the capital, Paris Basketball is coming off a sensational semifinal run. Stung by Cholet’s opening loss, Julius Thomas’s squad responded perfectly, notably winning two consecutive games against the best home team in France at the end of the season. This qualification was capped off by the Prince of Paris’s magnificent step-back jumper with 12 seconds left in the final game. Our Parisians arrive fired up to thwart Monaco’s plans !
