Hero of the game : Opening doors with ViensVoirMonTaf

For its final regular-season match this Saturday, 16 May, against ASVEL, Paris Basketball welcomed the ViensVoirMonTaf association to the court at the adidas arena.

Today, access to work experience placements still too often depends on one’s social network. Finding a work experience placement in Year 9 is more like an obstacle course than a simple school procedure. This is particularly true for secondary school pupils in priority education areas. A situation our Hero of the Game today aims to change by connecting these young people with companies ready to introduce them to the world of work.

Since its creation, ViensVoirMonTaf has aimed to reduce these inequalities through concrete actions. Regardless of their neighbourhood or social background, every young person should be able to benefit from opportunities. An internship may seem short, but it can spark an interest, offer a first glimpse of the future, build confidence and shape an idea.

Their presence on our court has helped to highlight this reality and serve as a reminder that equal opportunities are also at stake at times like these – moments that are often overlooked but prove decisive.
