2026 gets off to a good start at the adidas arena
A successful start to the year on Tuesday evening at the ADIDAS ARENA ! After a 40-minute demonstration, Paris Basketball regained the championship throne against SIG Strasbourg (96-67).
An impressive team performance from our Parisians on the 13th day of Betclic ÉLITE. Facing Strasbourg, who had the same record, Paris struggled at first before pulling ahead on the scoreboard.
However, this top-of-the-table clash lived up to all expectations in the early stages. SIG Strasbourg used their physical strength in the paint to compete with the relentless activity of our Parisians. It was a strategy that paid off… until Yak took to the court. With 8 points in 3 minutes, our number 24 kicked off the hostilities. With the first quarter barely over (21-19), Paris sent SIG reeling. Nadir Hifi took over, delivering assist after assist (18 points, 5 assists). And our whole team followed suit with good choices (50% on 3-pointers in the second quarter), laser passes (10 assists in the second quarter) and steals (5 steals in the second quarter). This BIG run ended with a huge +12 at half-time (46-34).

Unfortunately for our opponents today, Paris Basketball decided to set the adidas arena alight to get 2026 off to a flying start. As dominant as ever on both sides of the court, Daulton Hommes and Momo Faye scored basket after basket. SIG couldn’t find a solution to this Parisian run and gun. As soon as the visitors thought they were back in the game, our players stepped it up a notch. So much so that at the start of the fourth quarter, Paris led by 19 points (68-47) !
Paris Basketball continued to ride its momentum throughout the rest of the game. SIG tried to change its approach by playing even more aggressively, but to no avail. Our Parisians remain undefeated in 2026 with a third victory (96-67) in as many games.
