Vilnius couldn’t resist Paris Basketball
After two trips to Ljubjana and Monaco, Paris continues its European tour at the end of the year. This time it was in the Lithuanian capital that our Parisians had a date with the Vilnius Wolves on Wednesday evening. The result? A sparkling victory (110-79) that keeps them in first place in the EuroCup.
Hifi and TJ, an explosive duo!
Paris left their opponents in the game for 7 minutes, before going on a 15-0 rampage at the end of the first quarter.
Buoyed by the skill of their backcourt, Tuomas Iisalo’s men went into half-time with a 23-point lead (58-35) and a performance from TJ Shorts and Nadir Hifi, who combined for 29 points and 7 assists between them at the break.
Backcourt: key to the game
48 points (24 each) and 12 assists (11 for TJ, 1 for Nadir). The backcourt was exceptional, and it wasn’t just on stats that they shone. Aesthetically, the two Parisians also distinguished themselves with some classy moves that have already made the rounds on social networks!
Justin Simon’s European debut was also noteworthy, with 8 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals, as was Mo’ Diawara’s performance, with 9 points including a 2/2 3-pointer in just 2 minutes.
