Allan Dokossi’s biography

In terms of highlights, Allan is going to thrill us all season long! With his incredible leaping ability, spectacular dunks and boundless energy… All this in a young player standing 2.03 metres tall. Because yes, while most professionals have been playing basketball since childhood, Allan Dokossi only started the sport at the age of 15! Born on 14 December 1999 in Paris, the Franco-Central African player started late, but it didn’t take him long to get noticed. Although he considers his level to be ‘not incredible’, it proved sufficient to win the ‘Coupe 93’ with Tremblay-en-France. This was a year before his debut with Les Espoirs du Mans. It was an important step for the 18-year-old power forward, but he was quickly stopped by injury.

With only 15 games under his belt, Allan Dokossi decided to relaunch his career at Fos-sur-Mer. It was a gamble that paid off handsomely. Although he started the season with the U21s, his double-double average (14.2/11.4) immediately earned him a place in the first team. Although the club failed to stay in Pro A, the Parisian came out of the campaign stronger than ever, landing his first professional contract. Over the next two seasons, the forward shone in the second division, even averaging 9.4 points and 8.4 rebounds in 2020-2021, a season synonymous with promotion.

With the Pro B box ticked, Allan Dokossi begins the 2021-2022 season with the ambition of showcasing his talent in the French basketball elite. Fos-sur-Mer is holding its own while the new international player gradually finds his feet. Yes, we are now talking about a leader of the new Central African generation with his debut in the national team this same year. And after 33 more regular season games under his belt, the power forward took a step forward by signing with Dijon in the summer of 2023. In Burgundy, the Parisian discovered European competition in the Basketball Champions League, where he excelled (averaging 7 points and 7 rebounds). He also won the LNB All-Star Game dunk contest and Dijon’s second French Cup in history. Not bad for a season of adaptation.

The BCL gave way to the EuroCup the following season, with the added bonus of his first Betclic ELITE play-offs. Eliminated in the quarter-finals by the future champions, Allan Dokossi stole the show. So, inevitably, in the 2025 off-season, his 9.3 points per game average in the series weighed heavily in Paris Basketball’s decision. Back in his hometown, the Central African international will get his first taste of the EuroLeague.

What role will Allan Dokossi play for Paris Basketball in the 2025-2026 season

Quel dunk ! Quel joueur !
