Horizons kicks off its third series

Sport opens doors… The Paris Basketball Foundation’s Horizons programme is entering its third season, bolstered by a new partner organisation: Impact Academy.

Launched in 2024 as part of the EuroLeague’s ‘One Team’ initiative, Horizons is aimed at young people in northern Paris. Each workshop in this programme combines sporting activities with cultural discovery. The aim is for sport to become a gateway to new worlds. It also seeks to spark curiosity and enable participants to discover places and experiences to which they might not otherwise have access.

Two workshops focusing on painting and short-film-making have already marked the start of the season. Following a basketball session interspersed with camera shots, the young people continued the experience with a visit to the Banksy museum.

The Paris Basketball Foundation is also delighted to be able to count on Impact Academy. This organisation supports young people through basketball as well as a programme focused on sport, education, personal development and citizenship.

As for the programme’s ambition, that remains unchanged. Through Horizons, the Paris Basketball Foundation uses sport as a starting point to promote access to culture and broaden horizons.
