A setback in Nantes

A setback for the Paris Basketball women’s team, who were defeated in Nantes on Saturday during Matchday 6 of the NF1 (76-63).

On the back of three consecutive league wins, our Parisian women had showcased their top form last week in the Coupe de France. Having dominated Gennevilliers (143–59), Paris travelled to face a Nantes side also in fine form, buoyed by their strong run of form.

These two opponents, with similar records, were set to battle it out for a place on the podium. The home side led for much of the match. At half-time, ALPCM found themselves in serious trouble at both ends of the court, both in one-on-one situations and in terms of intensity (41-35). The tide turned, however, after the break. Thanks to superb three-point shooting, the Nantes side turned the game around in the second half. Paris ultimately conceded defeat (76-63). A setback, certainly, but one that in no way detracts from the positive spirit shown on the court.

Our Parisian team will look to bounce back this Saturday at 8 pm in the Paris derby against Stade Français. A major clash at the Halle Carpentier that you can attend for free !
