Hero of the Game : Rebuilding after violence

Because escaping domestic violence is not always enough to rebuild a life, on Tuesday, March 10, we welcomed the Fondation Anges as part of Hero of the Game.

In France, domestic violence affects hundreds of thousands of people every year, the majority of whom are women. Its consequences extend far beyond the private sphere, affecting health, family life, and career paths. And in order to escape such situations, victims often have to face a real obstacle course!

Created in 2024, the Foundation’s mission is to centralize aspects that are often dealt with separately. These include housing, employment, social support, and personal reconstruction. The aim is to help victims of violence regain their independence and long-term stability.

The Anges Foundation acts as a bridge between associations, businesses, and institutions to develop solutions that are both concrete and sustainable. Its approach is based on a strong conviction: while protection is essential, rebuilding is just as important.

Their presence on the court at the adidas arena during this EuroLeague game against Olympiacos gave visibility to this commitment.

Through this Hero of the Game, the Paris Basketball Foundation wants to remind us that sport can also be a space for raising awareness and collective mobilization.
