The Parisian collective triumphs over Nancy

No suspense this Saturday evening! In front of a packed crowd at the adidas arena, Paris Basketball made short work of Nancy in this Africa Game (102-73).

Our French champions have struck again! Their victim of the evening? A Nancy team completely overwhelmed by a huge Paris side on this 19th day of Betclic ÉLITE.

The Parisian side showed variety at the start of the match with 3-pointers, powerful drives and free throws. Nancy, meanwhile, relied on long-range shots. At first, this strategy worked. Then their accuracy dropped, our defence adapted and Paris made a series of stops. With the game tight, JMO scored 6 points in 20 seconds. From then on, Paris Basketball swept over the visitors, who had no lifeline, until the middle of the second quarter (47-28). Our well-oiled team prevailed over the Nolley II-Goudou Sinha duo. Although Nancy got back into the game somewhat at the end of the half, the lead remained substantial (52-36).

Especially when our national Captain Seba decides to start the second half as he finished the first: with a huge shot from the car park. Paris Basketball also continues its collective recital. Five minutes into the third quarter, Momo Faye, served on a silver platter, explodes into the circle and becomes the 12th Parisian out of 12 to open his account. However, a series of turnovers prevented us from increasing the lead.

In the end, it was only a minor detail given the final score (102-73), which perfectly reflected Paris Basketball’s performance. Today, Paris’s well-organised machine gave Nancy’s individual players no chance. A landmark victory for Paris!
