Our young hopefuls confirm their promise !

Third consecutive victory for Paris Basketball’s Espoirs after their 79-61 win last Saturday against Boulazac on the 16th day of the championship.

Although our Espoirs had a scare two weeks ago against Portel (79-87), this time they dominated the game.

From the outset, Paris imposed its physical superiority. On both sides of the court, our Parisians racked up rebounds (49 to 27), giving them plenty of second chances, unlike the visitors. This allowed them to take the lead on the scoreboard, especially as BBD struggled from the parking lot (1/31 on 3-pointers). However, Boulazac made more of an impact in the second quarter.

From +8 at the end of the first quarter (19-11), our Espoirs went into the locker room with a lead of two possessions (34-30). This was the smallest gap between the two teams. In the second half, Paris Basketball stepped up a gear. Led by the duo of Aleksic and Sissoko with 27 points, our players left nothing for BBD.

Julien Mahé’s men secured this crucial victory in the race for the Top 7 (79-61) without faltering.

The next game is on Saturday 7 February, again at home, against a Nancy side that is out of form.
