Our Espoirs continue their relentless pace

Paris Basketball’s youth team secured its fifth consecutive victory after a resounding 78-108 win last Saturday at Saint-Quentin in the 18th round of the championship.

The suspense lasted two minutes. Shortly thereafter, our Espoirs created a significant lead over their opponents. Struggling in the standings, the home team was unable to contain the Parisian onslaught. The game was intense, the pace fast, and the attacks largely overwhelmed the defences. This situation benefited our players, whose up-tempo play is their trademark. Paris Basketball scored more than 30 points in the first quarter (26-34) before increasing their lead in the second quarter (36-55).

After returning from the locker room, Saint-Quentin got back into the game a little. On both sides, the air was thin in the paint. But nothing changed: Paris remained ahead (55-79)! More consistent in their production, Sheyne Koudou’s teammates, who had a double-double, rolled on during the final minutes (78-108). As reflected by these seven players scoring more than nine points, this was above all a collective success at the end of a game that was controlled from start to finish !

Now sixth in the Espoirs ÉLITE league, our young Parisians will host SIG this weekend. This is a crucial match in the battle for the Trophée du Futur between these two teams with similar records.
