A promising summer prep course

This Saturday, Paris Basketball officially kicks off its 2025-2026 season with the LNB Super Cup. It’s an opportunity to look back on a particularly encouraging preseason.

With a new coach, new staff, and new players, this preseason has allowed the entire professional roster to bond.

From creating automatic responses to fine-tuning rotations and shaping systems, the new coach has had time to refine his methods.

And this work has already borne fruit. In its first test against Orléans, Paris Basketball won convincingly (73-82).

Next, it was off to Andorra for a training camp punctuated by two games. The first was a EuroLeague clash against FC Barcelona. Tight on paper, the game lived up to all expectations. And despite Justin Robinson scoring 20 points, Paris ultimately lost by the smallest of margins (90-91). However, our Parisians ended their week in Andorra in the best possible way, with a clear 103-90 victory against the local team, Morabanc Andorra.

A few days later, our Parisians fly to Cyprus for the Neofytos Chandriotis tournament, which brings together three EuroLeague heavyweights.

And Yakuba Ouattara’s teammates, with 23 points, got off to a flying start with a crushing victory over Red Star Belgrade. Leading after the first day, Paris Basketball continued its momentum and dominated Tyson Ward’s Olympiacos (90-87). Two wins in as many games. No one has done better!

C’est donc fort de 4 succès pour une seule défaite que le Paris Basketball s’avance face au Mans ce samedi pour la première demi-finale de la Supercoupe. Une nouvelle aventure remplie de promesses débute.
