A busy weekend for our Parisians at Eurobasket
Nadir Hifi and Ismael Bako had a particularly busy weekend. Two Eurobasket matches in 24 hours with contrasting results for our two Parisians.
After a superb performance in his very first international competition, Nadir Hifi faced a decisive back-to-back. Two matches against the other two favourites in the group. The result: a 103-95 triumph over Doncic’s Slovenia on Saturday, followed by a surprise 69-82 defeat to Israel on Sunday.
France still has its destiny in its own hands. After a minor setback, Nadir’s teammates are determined to make up for it on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. against Poland, one of the hosts of this EuroBasket.
BIG SHOUT-OUT to our former teammate Sylvain Francisco. MVP of the victory against Slovenia with a huge 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
For the Red Devils, Ismael Bako dominated the paint on Saturday against Iceland, scoring 10 points and grabbing 7 rebounds in the 71-64 victory. Performing well again the next day against Slovenia, our centre was unable to prevent his team’s 69-86 defeat. One place away from qualifying for the final phase, Belgium will play for everything on Tuesday at 2pm against Israel.
