Biography of Lamar Stevens
Born on 9 June 1997 in Philadelphia (USA), the forward quickly made a name for himself. While still in high school, he was ranked among the top 100 most promising players in the country by ESPN.
Already well known in Pennsylvania, Lamar Stevens chose almost naturally to join the Penn State Nittany Lions for his NCAA years. First, to warm up, he was named to the First Team All-Freshman. During season 3, the man with an average of 20 points entered the First Team All-Big Ten Conference. He then repeated this individual feat, becoming the second-highest scorer in his university’s history.
Unfortunately, he was not drafted, but the centre managed to bounce back with the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was a franchise where the player flourished. In total, he played nearly 168 games with LeBron James’ former team.
He then moved on to the Boston Celtics! However, physical problems disrupted his adaptation to this historic franchise, forcing him to make a fresh start in Detroit in the autumn of 2023.
But it was ultimately with the Tennessee franchise that Lamar Stevens felt most at home. In Memphis, the player flourished under the guidance of Tuomas Iisalo, so much so that he ended up scoring 31 points against Dallas in an NBA match.
For the first time in his career, Lamar left his homeland to discover European basketball. More specifically, he headed to the City of Light to play for Paris Basketball. The EuroLeague and Betclic ÉLITE opened their doors to our new forward, who has played nearly 220 games in the NBA.
What role will Lamar Stevens play for Paris Basketball in the 2025-2026 season
220 NBA games! That says a lot about our new recruit’s CV. An energetic player, Lamar Stevens will bring a lot to the team with his knowledge of the game. Coach Francesco Tabellini will certainly be able to count on his extensive experience.
