Biography of Justin Robinson
Born on 12 October 1997 in Manassas, United States, young Justin dreams big. He cuts his teeth in Virginia before taking on the NCAA, where the point guard impresses with the Virginia Tech Hokies during his four spectacular college seasons. Some NBA scouts followed him and offered him a chance to participate in the Summer League with the Washington Wizards, the Robinson family’s favourite franchise. The Manassas native had only one chance to prove himself, and he seized it. His superb summer performances earned him NBA contracts.
But after nine games with the Wizards, he was sent to Capital City Go-Go in the G-League. It was a return to reality that could have destabilised many players. Determined and resilient, the player hung on and made a grand return to the NBA, racking up a string of impressive performances. From the Milwaukee Bucks to the Detroit Pistons and the Sacramento Kings, the Virginian made a name for himself on the other side of the Atlantic.
After about 40 games in the NBA, Justin Robinson decided to cross the Pacific to Australia to join the Illawarra Hawks. Injured in his first season, the point guard was quick to perform once he was back on his feet. He led his team to the NBL play-offs, averaging 13.2 points during the period. So he headed to Spain, where he discovered the Old Continent before joining Trapani for the 2024-2025 season, where he blew everyone away!
He averaged 14.4 points, was the third-best passer in the league (6 assists), and had a rating of 16.1. Member of the Lega Serie A’s top five. After settling in Sicily, Justin Robinson literally carried the team on his back to lead his teammates to the LBA play-off semi-finals. So, naturally, Europe’s biggest clubs were on the lookout.
