Paris kicks things off at the Pana

In the opening game of a 30-match regular season, a Paris Basketball side in fine form faces an Athens side that is also in top form. It’s a tough first test in the highly competitive EuroLeague for our head coach Maxime Lefèvre, given Panathinaikos’ star-studded squad. In addition to the star players already in the squad, Mathias Lessort’s teammates now include the likes of Sylvain Francisco and Guershon Yabusele. The whole lot are coached by the nine-time winner of the competition : Željko Obradović.

But this doesn’t faze the Parisians, who have so far won every away game at the Olympic Indoor Hall. Historically successful against Panathinaikos, Paris Basketball has also confirmed the great promise shown during the pre-season in the LNB Super Cup. It was a weekend during which our team showed that it can give any side on the continent a run for their money.
