On the roof of France

They’ve done it ! Following a thoroughly dominant Final Four final against Étoile Sportive Gimontoise BB (68–55) on Sunday evening, the Paris Basketball women’s team have clinched the French NF2 championship title.

Last night, our Parisian women took an important first step towards the top flight of French basketball. Having beaten Trégueux-Langueux Basket Armor the day before (76–57), Paris Basketball were just one match away from the holy grail. A final hurdle, Étoile Sportive Gimontoise BB, stood between us and the championship trophy. Forty minutes to reward all the efforts made over more than eight months.

Like their semi-final, our players faced tough opposition early on. The Gimontoises responded to our swift attacks in a fairly tight first quarter. Little by little, the pace picked up. The pressure mounted on the Occitanian backline. And at the other end of the court, Paloma Wouts’ long-range shots, combined with Aminata Dosso’s incisive drives, allowed us to rack up the points. Paris maintained its lead, Paris dominated, Paris pulled away (31-20).

Still reeling from this crushing defeat, the Gimontoises are struggling to keep their heads above water. Whenever they manage to breach our defence and score a basket, the punishment follows immediately. Inès Salahy’s teammates let their attacking prowess do the talking. With a comfortable lead at the start of the final sprint (50-32), Paris maintained the exceptionally high standard that has kept them unbeaten in 2026. The minutes ticked by, the gap remained substantial, and then the final whistle blew: our women’s team are French NF2 champions !

Together with our supporters, who turned out in force for the occasion, Paris Basketball celebrated in style the first title in the history of its women’s section. This tremendous achievement is the result of an incredible season put in by this fantastic team! The epilogue to a Paris-made story that promises to be absolutely mad.

Once again, congratulations to Zoé, Awa, Chloé, Inès, Aminata, Eloïse, Paloma, Jasmine, Captain’Touty, Hermine, coach Christophe Denis, and the entire technical and medical staff.

See you next season !
