Thank you Touty !

A Paris Basketball legend bows out in style ! Last Saturday, Touty Gandega played the final game of a career studded with EuroLeague and international competitions.

At the final whistle, fans and players alike had only one word on their lips : Touty ! Once again masterful in this crucial promotion match against Estaires (83-36), our guard experienced a rather special post-game celebration. Bouquets, confetti, framed photos, gifts… The entire Paris Basketball family made sure to celebrate their iconic captain.

The epilogue to a magnificent story that began in 2008 in Mondeville. At just 21 years old, Touty experienced the elite of European basketball with the EuroCup (C2), where she averaged over 9 points per game. A meteoric rise in northern France, where she also made her EuroLeague (C1) debut. From Charleville-Mézières to Aulnoye, via Toulouse and Angers, the guard carved out a unique niche for herself in both the French first and second divisions.

A significant part of her career also unfolded on the other side of the Mediterranean. Having become a key figure for the Malian national team, “Popexe” reached the podium twice at the Afrobasket (2017-2019). In these campaigns, she played a pivotal role, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. She even led the Eagles to the 2022 World Cup !

A leading figure of the Paris Basketball Women’s Team since its inception, Touty has always been exemplary both on and off the court. The Paris native concludes this remarkable journey as a legend.
