Hero of the Game : Upcycling project
For our annual Green Game last Sunday, the Paris Basketball Foundation decided to highlight a rather unique company: Activ’18.
Located in the 18th arrondissement, Activ’18 creates community-based activities run by people facing barriers to employment. They start with individual skills and the needs of the neighborhood to invent jobs that don’t yet exist. This initiative offers everyone the opportunity to reconnect with their community through work.
But this collaboration didn’t end with the “Hero of the Game” showcase. Together, we designed a collection of upcycled merchandise made from our old equipment (jerseys, training gear, towels, etc.). Like chemists, these individuals supported by Activ’18 transformed mud into something tangible in their workshops. These are unique, handcrafted pieces, completely redesigned from the ground up.

All profits from these tunics, produced in a very limited edition, will be donated to the Foundation. Behind this collection lie many hours of work, unique expertise, and above all, rebuilt career paths. This project gives a second life not only to textiles, but also to life trajectories.
Celebrating Activ’18 meant rethinking work, solidarity, and the local economy. It was a way of reminding everyone that every product can tell a story, a learning experience, a return to the workforce.
Collective – Progress – Opportunities. A set of values present both on the ground and in the workshops. This time, the competition was also won on these points.
