Dosso : ‘ We were eagerly awaiting this match ’
In front of a supportive crowd at the adidas arena, the Paris Basketball women’s team defeated Chesnay-Versailles last Sunday (66-61). It was a memorable match for Aminata Dosso, who was named MVP of the game.
Paris did what it had to do, but Paris won! Beyond earning two valuable points in the race for promotion, this victory has a much greater significance, as Aminata explains: “To tell you the truth, we lost by five points in the first leg. It was a very difficult match. A lot of things happened before, during and after the match. We were determined to win this match and we wanted to show people that the away defeat wasn’t a mistake, but just our trump card that we played too early.”

This hard-fought victory also illustrates the cohesion within the team, according to our winger: “The atmosphere within the group is good. What’s great is that we have a lot of diversity in the group. Everyone contributes to the team, and that’s what gives us our strength of character and our identity. We often go out together as teammates, which is a plus. It’s rare to see that in a team. I think that’s what gives us our strength of character.”
And finally, Amanite Dosso wanted to send a message to our supporters: “A big thank you to you all. It’s great to play in front of a big crowd, in front of an audience that is active, that makes noise, that encourages us even in difficult moments. We hope to see you at every match because we need you. You are our sixth player! You give us energy. When things get tough, we hear you and it makes us want to run even harder. Once again, a big thank you to the crowd and we hope to see you more often!”

So come and support our women’s team this Saturday at 8pm at the Halle Carpentier for this big National II clash against Nancy !
