Hero of the Game : Making those who tell the story of the game visible

During its latest Hero of the Game of the week, our Foundation reminded everyone that our programme is open to ALL thanks to the association Femmes Journalistes dans le Sport (Women Journalists in Sport).

Sport is a story just waiting to be told. This week’s Hero of the Game concluded on Sunday afternoon with Femmes Journalistes dans le Sport present on the court at the adidas arena.

In an environment still rife with stereotypes, our Hero of the Game today is working to give women the place they deserve in sports journalism. Beyond supporting professionals in the sector, the association offers opportunities to young women and students in this still overly male-dominated profession.

Being Hero of the Game also means recognising that visibility matters. That stories shape sport, tomorrow’s journalists as much as results. That allowing more women to cover the game means bringing about lasting change in the sporting landscape for the better.
