The year 2025 in Paris in 5 dates

In a few hours, 2025 will give way to 2026. This is an opportunity to look back on a HISTORIC year for Paris Basketball through five key dates.

April 18, 2025 : Play-in victory against Real Madrid

In its first season in Europe’s premier competition, Paris Basketball achieved the feat of qualifying for the play-ins. Its first attempt to reach the quarterfinals took place on Real Madrid’s home court. Led by a flamboyant T.J. Shorts on offense, our Parisians caused a sensation by defeating one of Europe’s biggest clubs after a crazy money time (73-81). This victory meant a place in the EuroLeague playoffs.

April 26, 2025 : French Cup

After knocking out Pau, Dijon, and Bourg, Paris Basketball had the opportunity to win its first French Cup against Le Mans. Reflecting their performance throughout the tournament, MVP Nadir Hifi and his teammates dominated MSB at the Accor Arena (91-80), thanks in particular to an imperial T.J. Shorts in the fourth quarter. With this victory, the club adds a third title to its list of achievements.

April 30, 2025 : EuroLeague quarterfinals

Paris Basketball put up a good fight in the EuroLeague playoffs against Fenerbahçe, the eventual winner of the competition. After narrowly losing the first two games of the series, Tiago Splitter’s team came close to pulling off an upset in Game 3 at the adidas arena. But after forcing overtime with two minutes to go, our players were unable to contain the Istanbul team in extra time (88-98). It was a spectacular game, reflecting the excitement of this European campaign.

June 24, 2025 : French Champion

First in the regular season, Paris Basketball eliminated Dijon in a hard-fought battle before crushing Bourg in the playoff semifinals. Held back by Monaco during the Betclic ÉLITE finals, our Parisians were trailing at home in the fourth quarter of the decisive game. But that was without counting on Nadir Hifi’s hot streak from the parking lot (99-93). At the end of the night, our club won the first French championship in its history.

December 28, 2025 : Hifi MVP of the All-Star Game

A few hours after winning the point guard competition, Nadir Hifi took part in the All-Star Game. In his third consecutive start, the Prince of Paris led Team France (27 points and a rating of 27) to its first victory over Team World in three years. His performance earned him the title of MVP of the 2025 LNB All-Star Game – a first for a Paris Basketball player.
