Paris takes the throne

In front of nearly 5,000 spectators, Paris Basketball cruised to victory over Portel (110-80) and took the lead in the Betclic ÉLITE league.

The best attack in France shows no signs of slowing down. The only team in the league with six consecutive wins, Paris Basketball hosted Le Portel on Tuesday evening, just two days after its impressive performance against Saint-Quentin (99-69).

Immediately plunged into a physical battle, Paris’ backcourt responded tit for tat to the visitors’ strong inside game. Suffocating without the ball throughout the first half, Paris forced 15 turnovers! This was a major advantage, especially as Lamar Stevens’ teammates, with 10 points and 5 rebounds in 8 minutes, excelled in transition.

Although the Northerners were strong in the paint, they were unable to contain the frenetic pace imposed by Paris Basketball. Our players’ 13-point lead at the break (53-30) grew with each interception, eventually reaching a final score of 110-80. This valuable victory allowed Paris to take the top spot in the Betclic ÉLITE for the first time this season.

No time to rest in the capital! On Thursday, Paris Basketball will host Sylvain Francisco’s Žalgiris Kaunas. Reserve your seats while there’s still time by clicking on this link.
