Paris loses the Parisian derby

Paris Basketball ended its league season with a 99-83 defeat in the Paris derby in Nanterre on the 13th day of the regular season.

On Friday evening, our Parisian team traveled to Nanterre for the Paris derby.

The match initially went in favor of the home team. Led by our former center Mathis Dossou-Yovo, Nanterre pushed our players into making mistakes (13 turnovers in 20 minutes). Physically dominant (8 more rebounds in the first half), Paris Basketball racked up 3-point shots to take the lead in the middle of the second quarter (33-36).

However, the momentum shifted back in Nanterre’s favor after the break. But thanks to Nadir Hifi‘s 30 points in 26 minutes, our Parisians put an end to this green run and gradually caught up on the scoreboard. Trailing by four possessions at the start of the fourth quarter (70-60), Paris Basketball ultimately failed to close the gap (99-83).

Our French champions will return to their home court on January 13 against SIG Strasbourg in a Betclic ÉLITE showdown. Secure your tickets now by clicking on this link.
