One Team, Chapter II: Music at the Heart of the Game
Between sports and cultural immersion, young people continue their HORIZONS journey
After an initial cycle devoted to cinema, the HORIZONS program has begun a new chapter focused on music.
Continuing on from our previous theme, a basketball workshop launched this introduction before a direct cultural immersion. It was a simple and practical way to broaden the horizons of young people in the 18th arrondissement, while retaining the sporting aspect of Paris Basketball.
For the first session of this cycle, the world of music took to the basketball courts. Through specific listening exercises, the young people discovered how this combination of tempo and creativity develops their game as well as their imagination.

Understanding that sport is also about rhythm, sensitivity, and expression. That was the goal of this activity.

A few days later, our participants visited the Philharmonie de Paris. There, a busy schedule awaited them: discovering the permanent exhibition of instruments, a sound journey from one continent to another, and an immersive installation called “Playing with Fire.”
Both unsettled and fascinated, these young people came away from this unique musical experience feeling enriched.
Now, let’s turn our attention to design and urban art. New territory to explore, still at the intersection of sport and culture.
