Hero of the Game : Together against student poverty

For the fourth Hero of the Game of the season, the Paris Basketball Foundation highlighted the fight against student poverty through the charity On Remplit le Frigo.

A collection is worth a thousand words… This time, our Hero of the Game started before the match against Saint-Quentin. The Paris Basketball Foundation organised a food collection on the forecourt of the adidas arena. The initiative was a great success thanks to donations from our supporters for students in need.

At half-time, the On Remplit le Frigo team came out to remind the crowd of over 6,000 spectators about the scope of their work. Every week, they help around 300 students by distributing food parcels and hygiene kits. The charity also aims to provide access to culture and sport.

Their greatest strength? A team of 300 dedicated volunteers, 75% of whom are former beneficiaries. Symbolically, after receiving help themselves, they are now giving back.

This evening proves once again that sport is ALSO a place for coming together and showing boundless solidarity.
