One Team Season 2 : Culture is earned on the pitch

For the second consecutive year, the Paris Basketball Foundation is renewing its participation in the ONE TEAM programme, a social responsibility initiative of the EuroLeague.

With this in mind, the endowment fund is launching its ‘HORIZONS’ programme.

The aim? To offer young people from Priority Neighbourhoods (QPV) new cultural horizons through sport.

To bring this ambition to life, a dozen workshops will punctuate the 25-26 season. Designed in collaboration with Espoir 18 – an association committed to the integration and socialisation of young people in the 18th arrondissement – these events alternate between sports and cultural discovery.

The principle is simple: each basketball session focuses on a specific theme, followed by a related cultural outing. A mix of sport, culture and openness !

A look back at the first two workshops

Since the start of the school year, our young people have been able to discover the vast world of cinema through two workshops.

Soumaya, Majeed, Sickou, Soufiane, Minata, Lina and the whole gang took a behind-the-scenes look at the world of cinema. Film clips were shown, special effects secrets revealed, lively debates about costumes took place… It was a fun, intriguing and fascinating discovery, introduced by a basketball session.

Through this initiative, the Paris Basketball Foundation reaffirms its commitment to supporting young people in their development and helping them access new horizons. This memorable experience once again illustrates the power of sport in serving the community!

Next steps in the programme

On the agenda for the coming weeks: two sessions focused on music !

On the field, there will be musical games combining rhythms, silence and sports sound effects. This is a great way to prepare young people for the associated cultural outing, which will take place at the film library.

Come to the next meeting and support us!
