James Newman leaves Paris Basketball

On Wednesday, November 19, Paris Basketball officially announced the departure of its GM, James Newman. He will be moving to Australia, where he will work for the Sydney Kings and Flames.

During his six seasons in the capital, James quickly demonstrated his talent and dedication to further expanding our young project, which began in 2018.

His ability to identify players who fit in with Paris Basketball’s “play hard” culture and uptempo style has been invaluable to the Club.

Our former manager played a major role in identifying coach Tuomas Iisalo and recruiting Francesco Tabellini, directly contributing to the accelerated sporting development of the reigning French champions.

The Paris Basketball community, players, staff, and fans would like to thank James Newman for his unwavering commitment and wish him all the best in his new responsibilities in Sydney.

David Kahn, President of Paris Basketball :

“James is one of the hardest-working, most brilliant and dedicated people to have worked at our young club. His contribution will remain engraved in the history of Paris Basketball. We are grateful to him and wish him all the best for the rest of his career.”
