When Paris inspires the NBA
After Tuomas Iisalo with Memphis, former Parisian Tiago Splitter has also become an NBA head coach. This is a first in the history of French basketball.
At the end of March, Finnish coach Tuomas Iisalo became the first coach to have worked with Paris Basketball to take charge of an NBA franchise, with Memphis.
Previously assistant to Chauncey Billups at the Portland TrailBlazers, Tiago Splitter was promoted to head coach on Thursday 23 October. Just a few months after winning the French championship, he is already following in the footsteps of his predecessor on the Parisian bench, with the two coaches set to face each other on 7 December with their respective franchises.

Of the 30 teams competing in the NBA, two are now led by former Paris Basketball coaches. This is a first in the history of our league.
