Paris loses to Monaco
Despite an intense money time, Paris Basketball fought hard until the end against Monaco after losing 94-99 on Sunday in the third round of Betclic ELITE.
This rematch of the LNB final lived up to all expectations. To kick off Paris Basketball’s home season in the league, our fans were treated to the best matchup Betclic Elite had to offer: a EuroLeague top-8 clash against Monaco, preceded by the legendary championship ring ceremony.
Immersed in the futuristic atmosphere of “Tron: Ares,” our Parisians started the game with an 8-0 run. But facing them were aggressive Monegasques who kept provoking fouls. So much so that in the second quarter, our Parisians had to do without their best defenders and conceded more than 15 points on free throws.
Trailing by four possessions at the start of the third quarter, our duo of M’Baye and Hommes sank some incredible shots, while Derek Willis secured the rebound with a double-double. The result: Paris caught up with Monaco in just five minutes. However, Mike James’s team maintained their level and managed to keep their lead until the end of the game. With five players scoring more than 10 points, Paris Basketball came within a whisker of achieving back-to-back wins.

Our Parisians are now looking ahead to Wednesday’s EuroLeague clash against Baskonia. Paris will need your cheers and applause, so reserve the last remaining tickets now.
