Unbeatable in defence, Paris Basketball comfortably defeated Virtus Bologna 90-79 in their first home game of the season.

No room for doubt in Paris! After more than three months of waiting, our Parisians were reunited with their fans on Thursday 9 October. It was an opportunity to celebrate one last time at the adidas arena the legendary double of the French Championship and French Cup. An emotional EuroLeague pre-match, enhanced by a commanding performance against Virtus Bologna.

In a heated atmosphere, our Parisians got off to a flying start. Quickly, this duel between two contenders for the top 10 turned in our favour. Like our Parisians, Francesco Tabellini’s men quickly set the arena alight with clinical 3-pointers coupled with ironclad defence. Although the scoreboard read 24-24 at the end of the first 10 minutes, Paris seemed to be on top.

This impression was transformed into a +9 lead at half-time. With six more offensive rebounds than Virtus and Carsen Edwards constantly trapped, our players slowly dashed the visitors’ hopes… before sealing the game after returning from the locker room. Their 100% shooting from the parking lot in the first five minutes of the third quarter symbolised a game controlled from start to finish by Nadir Hifi’s teammates, who scored 20 points.
